Back Up Mobiles
Surgery Connect is designed with resilience in mind - as part of this your Reception Extensions were supplied with back up mobile phones. Should for any reason calls be prevented from making it through to the desk extensions on reception (a power cut or network problems for example) you are able to turn on the back up mobile phones and the calls will target them, greatly reducing the time your patients are not able to make contact with you. It is essential that these back up mobiles are kept charged and the staff on reception know the procedure should they be needed.
Over the coming weeks our support department will be reviewing the mobile backups in place for all our customers and ensure that they are correctly provisioned and regularly tested.
New! Surgery Connect Features
As part of our dedication to improving the Surgery Connect solution there have been two new enhancements to the Surgery Connect Console.
Short dial numbers for all of your staff have been added to the console, so not only can you see who is available or not, you can instantly see the short dial number you need to use to contact them.
Searching live and archive calls has been simplified and improved.
More enhancements are on there way so make sure you read this news page each month or keep an eye out for new features via the Updates area at the top of the Surgery Connect and Configuration Consoles.
