Croydon Health Services provide acute and community healthcare services across the borough of Croydon either in patient’s own homes or from clinics and specialist centres, including Croydon University Hospital and Purley War Memorial Hospital. Around 3,500 staff provide services for a population of over 380,000 people who are relatively young with a high level of ethnic diversity.
The Challenge
Croydon Health Services, working in partnership with their GP Federation, Croydon GP Collaborative, and AT Medics (combined known as the Croydon Urgent Care Alliance), needed to complete the delivery of an Integrated Urgent Care and GP Out of Hours service. Recording of calls for the GP Out of Hours part of the service had been overlooked, so a call recording facility was urgently required.
Recording of calls was needed for mobile phones and also landlines based at the Croydon Urgent Care/OOHs base, with the recordings to be securely stored for 3 years. The service needed to be intuitive and easy to use for the on-call consultants, without creating any distraction to their workflow - essentially it needed to be invisible.
The Solution
X-on were able to integrate call recording into the existing Croydon Health Services phone system, with deployment ahead of their strict deadline.
Recordings are securely stored on the X-on network, which operates under stringent levels of compliance, including ISO27001 and DSP Toolkit, to ensure data is safely maintained.
Recordings are easily accessed by authorised personnel via any web browser.
