Conor Cousins
Development Engineer
Fulfilling an Ambition with the Right Apprenticeship
Conor joined X-on in 2016, after engaging with a developer at his sixth form college and seeing "what he had built, and how these applications advantaged the college, and that's really where my fascination for development started."
Conor's posting at X-on has served as an apprenticeship: "I started X-on not really having much knowledge of what programming is; I am now a qualified development engineer, so I have developed quite a lot."

Utilising Retail and IT Backgrounds
Alex joined X-on in 2019, finding a career which "took advantage of both my technical background, as well as the public facing experience from working as front of house."
Alex has been able to pursue his IT ambitions without having to relocate: "X-on has been a great starting block for me, aiding in getting into the IT industry, while also allowing me to stay more local."

Changing Management Context
Joanne came to X-on in 2019: "I was already aware of X-on and Surgery Connect as it's a partner product with EMIS Health where I previously worked… this was a perfect fit with my work background, knowledge and experience."
Joanne has been able to adapt her management skills and apply them in a different context: "I have remained in management in a variety of different roles but moved away from team management to account management."

Senior Development Engineer
From self-taught PHP to blue sky development
Josh arrived at X-on in 2010 via a University of Portsmouth placement. 15 months of implementing his skills as a develope r in the commercial X-on environment counted toward his degree, preparing him for entry into the workforce.
Josh joined permanently after completing his degree and is currently our Senior Development Engineer.

Learning on the job
Natan joined X-on in 2016 as a Junior Accounts Assistant via an opportunity posted on the UK Government's Find An Apprenticeship web site.
Natan completed AAT Level 3 and Level 4 apprenticeship courses with study leave from X-on, skills he's now applying in our Accounts department.

Account Manager - Healthcare
Growing within a Key Sales Role
Krista joined X-on in 2008, seeking a career with "a forward thinking expanding organisation, and was excited to be appointed the role of Sales and Marketing coordinator with X-on."
Krista's role at X-on has evolved while providing new skills, "which has migrated with me to my current role of working closely with healthcare professionals."

Bringing a fresh approach to HR
Chris joined in 2021 after working in the hospitality/retail sector for over 12 years, and enjoys being with a company that "is on an upward trajectory with a friendly, dynamic team."
With X-on experiencing rapid growth, Chris is "developing our current team as well as attracting great people who want to be a part of our success."
